  • As you might have noticed, we've recently reorganized our site to make it easier to find some of our more important competition events. Our concerto competition, the Piano, Strings, Winds & Voice International Concerto Competition, and our romantic music competition, the Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition, can now be accessed from the top menu.

  • A complete guide to our 2012 Summer Music Courses in Europe is now online. This year’s summer courses are split into two programs. Both programs include a week of music study, as well as several days of travel during which participants will be able to discover the musical and cultural history of Germany, Austria, Italy, and Russia.  more ››

Lucky Ten Poster

Let your true talent shine across the globe in this fully staged opera production of Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro" accompanied by a professional orchestra.

The 10 day tour will begin in New York City and continue to major Russian cultural cities including Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Presented by American Fine Arts Festival and Lucky Ten Young Talent Studio.

Piano, Strings, Winds & Voice International Concerto Competition

We're proud to announce the return of the AFAF Piano, Strings, Winds & Voice International Concerto Competition. The competition is intended for advanced music students who would like to challenge themselves by competing on a highly selective level. The AFAF Piano, Strings, Winds & Voice International Concerto Competition requires video auditions and winners of this prestigious competition will perform at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City and have the opportunity to travel to Russia in July 2012 to perform with the Kostroma Symphony Orchestra. more ››

Romantic Music Competition

With the Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition the AFAF is joining the world-wide celebration of Liszt’s bicentennial. The audition/performance repertoire for this competition is not limited to Liszt and can be drawn from the entire Romantic tradition, including Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Brahms and Tchaikovsky. The competition is intended for advanced music students, will require video auditions and is open to instrumentalists and vocalists of all nationalities (piano, strings, winds, voice and chamber ensembles can participate in several age categories). more ››

2011-2012 Season Special Prize

The American Fine Arts Festival, in association with the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation (Moscow, Russia), is proud to inaugurate a special prize to be awarded to exceptional young participants of our regular season festival program. In addition to a special recital at Carnegie Hall, the prize includes five nights room and board in Moscow for the prize winner as well as one accompanying adult. While in Russia's capital, the prize winner will have the opportunity to give a recital in one of Moscow’s concert halls, participate in a master class with a member of the Moscow Conservatory faculty, as well as take advantage of various excursions around Moscow. more ››
